Why do companies go public?

I don’t have a finance or business background and would like to know why companies go public? What does go public even mean? Is there some advantage to it? The last one I read about was Facebook going public and their stock price went down hard immediately. It was all over the news, but I never know what it supposed to mean? If such a big company like Facebook would go through something that terrible, there must be a reason for it. So why do companies take the trouble to go public?

Why did you become a teacher?

I’m a secondary school teacher currently teaching seventh graders. Teaching was all I ever wanted to do – I remember my secondary school teachers as being passionate, inspiring, knowledgeable and encouraging and I grew up wanting to be that for other kids. I wanted to make a difference. I’ve been teaching for about two years now and I’m feeling so incredibly disillusioned. I feel like I’m not making a difference at all – the kids in my class don’t want to be inspired! I’m seriously considering giving up teaching and pursuing a different career path. For fellow educators out there, why did you become a teacher?

Why watches show 10 10 in ads?

I started noticing in watch and clock advertisements, whether they were printed or on TV, that the hands of the clock almost always point to the time 10:10. This seems like such a weird detail that is common in so many advertisements. Is there a special meaning? Why watches show 10 10 in ads?

Why do you want to leave your current job?

I really hate my current job. I’m planning to find a new one soon. So I better be ready to answer some interview questions on why I’m quitting my current job. Why do you want to leave your current job is a question I’m not too sure of. How should I answer it? I want something that can leave an impression of professionalism. Certainly not something that implied I’m quitting because I hate my old boss. How should I go about answering that question then?

How to write a Resignation letter?

How to write a resignation letter? As much as I would love to throw everything down the desk, burn all the bridges and walk out the door, I should take this professionally. How should I write a resignation letter? Seems like the thing the young’uns would learn these days, with all the job hoppers and all. I was planning to work in this company until I got fired one day when I first got started. Things changed, I can’t get promoted anymore, I don’t think I can get any better at my job either, it’s getting really dull. It’s about time I say goodbye to the company. How should I write one that shows respect, sincerity and professionalism?

I currently have a job, but I have some interviews lined up for better jobs that I really want. I’ve been doing some research on what kinds of questions they will ask to prepare myself, and one of the most common questions for people already employed is “Why do you want to change your job?” I don’t want to sound unreliable because I’m trying to leave my job, but I want to be honest with them that I already have a job. What is the best way to answer this question in an interview?

How to make your blog popular?

I’m planning to write a blog about what it is like to be living as an expat in a third world country, whilst also dealing with a physical disability. I want the blog to be fun, informative, helpful, and, above all, I want people to actually read it! My hope is that the blog will grow popular enough that I can sell advertising space around it and, in so doing, get an additional source of income. Having said that, I’ve never written a blog before and I know there are millions currently online. So the question is: how to make your blog popular? Any suggestions from regular blog readers would be really helpful!

My last job was absolutely terrible.
Why do you want this job?

I went to a job interview this morning, with a company that I admired, for a position that I would love to have and am well qualified for. It was all going well, they were impressed by my work history and education, we’d even had a few laughs…and then the head of Human Resources asked me that fateful question: “Why do you want this job?” And, I’m pretty sure, I completely choked. I muttered something about “great opportunities” and mumbled out something else equally inane and unimpressive. The corners of the HR persons mouth turned downwards at the corners and I’m reasonably sure she will never be calling me again. I can’t believe I choked on such a simple question! It just completely threw me off. So, any advice out there from other experienced job seekers? How do you answer the question “why do you want this job?”

I’m really nervous about my upcoming interview. It is for my dream job and I really want to part of it. I could really use all the preparation. One question I’m really anxious about is, “Why do you want to work for us?” How should I go answering it? What kind of answer does the interviewers will look out for?

Why are you looking for a new job?

I am looking for work. In a couple past interviews, I think I may have answered this question wrong. The rest of the interview seemed to go well but each time, with this question, I kind of choked. What is a good answer to this question?

How to refund on Ebay

I recently sold a product to my customer on eBay. He seems to be dissatisfied with it and wish for a refund. How to refund on eBay in this case? I never had an online transaction problem like this before? Do I get the product I sold back? Or I would have to surrender my goods and the money he paid? The latter seems pretty unfair for me.
