How do you zoom in on Snapchat? I mean it uses the camera so it should be able to do so? It’s just common sense. I tried pinching the screen, but it doesn’t work at all. Is it not a feature in Snapchat? It shouldn’t even be a feature in the first place anyway.

Good news! As of 5th of May 2015, you can now zoom in on Snapchat. It comes on an update package and you just need to install it. A little late, but as they say, better late than never. The feature of pinch the screen to zoom in the Samsung or the Apple iPhone camera is now available in Snapchat. So simply pinch out to zoom in. For video, you can actually zoom in and start recording, or even zoom in and out on the air. Just make sure your Snapchat is properly updated if you can’t use the function. So far, it seems to work perfectly on all Samsung products, and the iPhone 5s and up.

Unfortunately, this feature doesn’t work on the iPhone 4s and below. You can’t zoom in on Snapchat those models. Apparently the development team only make it work for the later version of the camera in the iPhone line. Be patient I guess, then again it’s been a few months now with no news that they will fix it. So don’t keep your hopes up.

How about telling you a similar feature, dude!! You can try it out on your iPhone 4. As far as I know, my friends all can use it on iPhone, even iPhone 2.  When you filming something, there’s a feature “Zooming in while filming”, by which you can actually zoom in and out while filming video.

To zoom in, just begin filming something like you always do. Use another finger to swipe up the screen, and swipe down on it, then you’ll automatically zoom back out.
